Awareness Day : Horkan’s Garden Centre, Turlough, Castlebar, Co. Mayo

Robin and Ria,  Tom and Tassu, Janice and Dudley, and Eileen and MeganIrish Therapy Dogs would like to thank the Management and Staff at Horkan’s Garden Centre, Turlough, Castlebar for the warm welcome extended to us at our Awareness Day held there on Sunday last. We thank their customers for the interest shown in our Charity and appreciate the promotion and support given, once again, by Horkans to Irish Therapy Dogs.

Awareness Day : The Orchard Home and Garden Centre, Celbridge

Kildare (a venue favoured by many of our Volunteers) for the warm and generous welcome extended to us at our Awareness Days held there this weekend. We appreciate the sponsorship and the promotion given by Gerry to Irish Therapy Dogs. The event was very successful and we acknowledge the interest shown by their customers in the services we provide to Care Centres and Schools. With the very positive reaction we received today we are very hopeful that in the future, we will welcome back some of Gerry’s customers as Volunteer Visiting Teams. Thank you also to our Volunteers who attended.

As National Volunteering Week 2016 begins Irish Therapy Dogs would like to sincerely thank all our Volunteers and their wonderful Therapy Dogs for their dedication and commitment. The joy and happiness their dogs bring to the Residents, Staff and Pupils in the Care Centres and the Schools they visit is something special and is cherished by Residents,Staff, Children and Volunteers alike.

Irish Therapy Dogs would like to thank the Cork/Kerry Volunteers who travelled to attend the Volunteers’ Meeting held at the weekend in Blarney, Co. Cork . Dunboyne 1Thank you to Dunboyne Scouts Fireanna, Abbie, Rose, Ella and Maeve who held a Cake Sale recently and donated the proceeds to Irish Therapy Dogs. The girls chose to work with Irish Therapy Dogs over a number of weeks earlier this year to achieve their Gold Medal Award. Congratulations on winning two awards as a result of your efforts!
