All Things Bright and Beautiful ………………………

BleIrish Therapy Dogs’ Volunteers joined the parishioners of St. Joseph’s Parish ,Glasthule ,Co. Dublin for their Annual Pet Blessing held on Sunday October 13th. Families brought a variety of pets – ‘great and small’ – and each pet was blessed individually. Wagging Tails were the order of the day as parishioners and volunteers chatted over refreshments provided afterwards in the adjoining Pastoral Centre.

012Irish Therapy Dogs would like to thank the Cork Volunteers who travelled from all over the county to attend the Volunteers’ Meeting held in The Blarney Woollen Mills’ Hotel on September 28th. The meeting was a great success due mainly to the enthusiasm and commitment of all attendees. In addition, new friendships were forged, all of which bodes well for the future of the organisation in Cork.

Annual Sponsored Walk

2013 Sponsored Walk 136Family and friends joined Irish Therapy Dogs’ Volunteer Visiting Teams and Junior Members from many counties across the country for its Annual Sponsored Walk held in Dublin on September 15th which coincided with our 5th Birthday.

When the Dogs met the Docs!

College of Surgeons 4Roles were reversed when a number of Irish Therapy Dogs’ Volunteer Visiting Teams visited the Royal College of Surgeons recently. They were on hand to offer post-examination pet therapy to the Medical Students there. As you can see by the happy faces the Therapy Dogs passed their tests with flying colours!
