Awareness Days, Orchard Home and Garden, Celbridge, Co. Kildare

imageIrish Therapy Dogs has already received enquiries and applications to become Volunteer Visiting Teams as a result of our very successful Awareness Days held at The Orchard Home and Garden, Celbridge, on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May, where we met so many people interested in our work.

We would like to thank Gerry Dooley and his staff for the warm welcome extended to us and we appreciate the promotion and support given, once again, by Gerry and his team to Irish Therapy Dogs. A special thank you to our Volunteers and their Therapy Dogs who attended over the two days.

Irish Kennel Club Dog Expo!

Aimage sincere thank you to all our Volunteer Visiting Teams for their presence at our attractive Exhibition Stand at the Irish Kennel Club Dog Expo on St.Patrick’s Day. Our dogs and their owners gave a warm welcome, with plenty of ‘wagging tails’, to all who visited our Stand and this was reflected by the interest shown in the work of Irish Therapy Dogs.  A demonstration was given where Volunteers simulated visits to Care Centres and showed the therapeutic effect that Therapy Dogs have on residents. We hope that, in the future, we will welcome back some of the visitors to our Stand as Volunteer Visiting Teams.

Well Done Young Ambassadors!

JuniorsMany Thanks to Irish Therapy Dogs’ Junior Members for the commitment and hard work they put into their preparation and their participation at our Conference on Saturday last. They introduced our Guests confidently and eloquently. They also expertly assisted in the distribution of the lunch. Congratulations on a job very well done!

Thank You!
